SKILLS

At Beaumont Tutoring we are particularly skilled at working with students with learning disabilities. Many of our students have ADHD diagnoses, and our work involves tailoring study strategies and improving students’ executive functioning skills. We also focus on developing skills in reading fluency and comprehension, writing structure, test-taking and note-taking, motivation and general study and organization strategies.

About

Dr. Craig Beaumont was educated at the University of Cambridge and at Columbia University, where he received a PhD in English and Comparative Literature. He began tutoring in 2006, and currently works with middle, high school and college students, focusing primarily on English language and literature, French, American and world history, and social studies.

He also teaches SSAT, ISEE, SAT and AP coaching and test skills, and instruction in the writing of high school, college, graduate school and other scholarship application essays.
